2005 ACM regionals
Hendrix College sent two teams to Arkansas Tech University in
Russellville, Arkansas, to compete in the Mid-Central Regional ACM
Programming Contest on November 7, 2005, to compete against 121
other teams in Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, and
Tennessee. Each team of three students shared one computer
as they worked to solve as many of the given programming problems
as possible within a five-hour time frame.
- Ian Hill, Daniel Levy, and Colin Williams completed four of the
nine problems and placed 24th of the 121 teams. They placed third among
the 16 teams from Arkansas.
- Alvin Grissom, Thomas Przybylinski, and Russel Reed were
among the large number of teams that did not successfully complete
any of this year's unusually tricky problem set, although they
came quite close on several problems.
